The new way of seeing - Oil on Paper

This small oil painting on paper is part of a series of gallery life, based on candid shots taken within galleries. It shows a lone figure standing front of ‘The Sisters’ looking at the painting through their phone. Going through galleries in 2023 we find ourselves living through our phones and somewhere down the line we forgot how to look without it.

This series offers an insight into how we interact with artwork it is also a play on the viewer, the viewer is looking at a painting of people looking at a painting.
