Shifted focus is a series of paintings that Hannah has completed through her love of history but also she wanted to create a collection of work that explore everyday issues but disguised within works originally created by the masters. Hannah chose images that when changing the focus could make the audience feel of kilter, that the original feeling from the painting could be empathized. Ophelia is now sinking down into the water, while Lady Jane Grey is having a crisis. Venus’s beauty is being distorted and Bachus is now under the influence. Hannah uses traditional methods by the original artist to create the recognizable images but shifts their focus to look at the modern issues of society.
